2014 Charter Oak Scholastic Open (MS-09)

Post by romeokar »

Dear Coaches,

Middlesex Middle School will proudly host the 3rd annual Charter Oak Scholastic Open on Sunday, January 26th, 2014. This tournament will use NAQT's MS-09 question set. The tournament style will depend on the number of teams present, but will likely consist of 5 or 6 preliminary rounds and a single-elimination playoff. There will be trophies for the top teams and awards for the top individual scorers. The top 15% of the teams in the field will qualify for the MSNCT in Atlanta in May. Teams will consist of at most 6 players.

The entry fee is $75 for one team, $60 for additional teams. There will be a $5 per buzzer rebate (max 1 per school). Breakfast will be provided for competitors, coaches, and guests. The entry fee covers one pizza per team, but teams can purchase additional pizzas.

I have attached the registration form below. Please let us know if you want to participate no later than Tuesday, January 21st, 2014. We look forward to another great tournament this year, and we hope you are a part of it!

Sincerely,

Ken Romeo

Ardsley Middle School will probably be bringing 3 teams. What time should we arrive? Any idea if what time it'll be over?
