Plymouth Academic Quiz Tournament 2 (PAQT)

Date: September 22, 2018
Set: IS 176A NAQT set
Field Cap: 18 teams (soft cap based on available staffers)

Cost: 80 dollars for first team
60 dollars for each additional team
5 dollar discount for teams traveling more than 100 miles (one-way)
5 dollar discount for buzzers
10 dollar discount for experienced staffer

Minimum cost: 60 dollars per team

Location: Plymouth Regional High School
86 Old Ward Bridge Road
Plymouth, NH 03264

Parking will be in the front of the building. We will have student volunteers escort teams to the cafeteria. The opening meeting will be in the cafeteria at 8:30 A.M.

Staffers meeting: 8:45 in room 132.

All matches will begin at 9:00 A.M. and will take place in the north wing of the building. We hope to finish by 5 P.M.

Lunch will be at approximately 12:15-1:00 P.M.

Teams can order pizzas (with 4 bottles of water, fruit and cookies) for 15 dollars each. There are fast-food restaurants within a mile of the school for teams that elect not to get pizzas.

Trophies will be awarded for top school and top small school finishers.

We will be applying for HSNCT, SSNCT and PACE certification for this event.
Please indicate if you are a small-school based on NAQT small-school certification standards when you register your team(s).

Ok, will do. We were under the assumption that that would be the next set in the series coming out.

Our 2017-18 sets ended with IS #175A. The first two sets in sequence for the fall will be #176A (introductory set) and #177 (regular-difficulty set), so we wanted to check in and make sure we knew what kind of set was needed here.

PACE has granted this tournament "gold" status. The top 20 percent of the field will qualify for PACE NSC in June.

We currently have 13 teams which leaves room for 3 more. We would love to get this up to 16. Logistics for all teams registered will be sent later in the week.

PAQT 2 was a great day. Thanks to all the teams that visited PRHS.

Congratulations to PAQT 2 Champions, Belmont A team with a 11-1 record defeating Lexington in a championship match, Plymouth who won the Small School title and Rhys Harris from Plymouth as the high scorer of the day.
