NOHO III at North Hollywood High School

North Hollywood High School is pleased to announce our 2016 tournament, NOHO III (Not an Organ Harvesting Operation III).

Location: 5231 Colfax Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91601
Date & Time: April 9th. Check-in begins at 8:00. First round begins promptly at 9:00.
Eligibility: All high-school teams are eligible and welcome!

Format: NOHO III will mirror the GSAC XXIII set. More information can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=109&t=17461
The tournament will consist of untimed 20-question rounds.The round format will be determined based on the number of teams, although there will likely be a preliminary round robin in the morning followed by reseeding after lunch.

Price Structure: $80 for the first team, $70 for each team after the first
-$5 for each functional buzzer system
-$5 for each 50 miles traveled (as determined by google maps)
-$10 for each experienced moderator
-$20 per team for schools that have not competed in an, mACF-style or NAQT tournament in the past 2 years
Cash is preferred, as we do not have a team checking account.

Registration: Teams may register in one of the following three ways:

2. Send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
a. Name of school
b. Number of teams being registered
c. Number of buzzer systems being brought for the discount
d. Number of experienced moderators being brought for the discount
e. Whether your team qualifies for the drivers' discount, and to what extent
f. Whether your team qualifies for the new school discount
g. Contact name and number
3. Post a reply to this topic with all the information outlined in (2), as well as
h. Contact email

Food: A light breakfast will be provided until rounds begin at 9:00. There are two Thai restaurants, a Taco Bell, a Big Time, a Yum Yum Donuts, and a Popeyes within comfortable walking distance; several more restaurants, including an In-N-Out, are just a short drive away.
