Re: Preseason Poll
Mr. Henry has evidently been arguing his case with you guys for a while but he is not just a QB coach; he is an employee at a traditional public school who has his own dog in this cultural fight. Traditional public school employees, admins and teachers, tend to, um, loathe charters. And part of his...

Fair enough. For what it's worth, I would very much be in favor of some sort of objective way for NAQT to rule on charter school eligibility. You have convinced me that if any charter schools belong at SSNCT, Lehigh Valley does. Perhaps they will consider some sort of committee that will look at sch...

WHEW! OK.... First, let me say something: I feel like a fool. Not because of my arguments, but because I 100% legitimately never even considered the possibility that anyone would take this as me trying to ban teams that are better than mine so that we could "win the damned tournament." Loo...

Re: SSNCT and Charter School Eligibility
I think a number of points raised here are very valid, especially in regards to the fact that charter schools are often able to expel students (or otherwise ask them to leave) much more easily than traditional public schools. However, the issue of school names strikes me as a rather silly basis for...

After much consideration, I have decided that SMART II will NOT be available to mirror this year. We will use the set at West Point on Sept. 24 only. It looks like a number of tournaments in AL on NAQT sets don't go that many rounds (Buckhorn for instance on IS-148 only has 8 rounds and Covenant Christian on IS-152 only had 7 according to the NAQT results site; IS sets contain 14 packets, so that's a whole tournament going basically unused). Generally, other circuits avoid this issue by running tournaments on non-NAQT questions. Yes. And that's what teams here have done. However, we tend to prefer NAQT questions.
