I would suggest first trying to get local schools to host one-day events on pyramidal questions (outside the local league, that is). Final stats have been uploaded. An undefeated State College won after narrowly defeating Hubbard, 315-305, in the final round of the playoffs.

State College, Hubbard, and Manheim Township have each qualified a team for HSNCT. Those three plus Hampton have qualified a team for NSC.

If possible, please, please, please make sure that your multiple teams are arranged such that A>B>C>D etc. Tournaments with round robin pools will go under this assumption. We have reached our first field cap of sixteen teams. I will put additional teams on a waiting list until I can secure enough staff to expand. Teams that can provide competent moderators or buzzer systems will have priority on the waiting list.

So, yeah, I would not really consider bias a factor. Put the best moderators on the games that matter most. Sub out slow moderators/give them scorekeepers if you have the human resources to do so. Hold basic training before the tournament so moderators know how to avoid easy mistakes that slow down...
