I will try and phrase this as nicely as possible... "Why the fuck did UTK get a bid over FSU? FSU had a better record and a better quality of opponent," yet one got a bid and one doesn't look to be on the waitlist. Also, to piggyback, does anyone see the irony of DePauw, the school that tried to enf...

ICT Bid discussion

If this merits consolidation with the other NAQT thread going feel free to combine it, but I figured it might deserve its own space. How does everyone feel about the way NAQT bids came out? Anyone notice glaring omissions/oversights in either Division? Anyone think there is any likelyhood we will ac...

I wouldn't mind if the entire community went on strike from writing ANY hockey questions for the next decade or so.

Combined with the one Maryland Drop and Delaware, looks like a field of 20 teams, including a stacked Rochester A.

If things got really miserable, expect a couple of other teams to have issues.

edit: anyone have results yet?

AT BU, I believe the top 5 D2 scorers and top 9 D1 scorers were given prizes (and only 18 people in total were there I believe.)

Hey everyone, this is Dan from Brandeis qb. I just wanted to give everyone a brief update as to how the field is looking for our tournaments. Remember that there is plenty of time to contact me if you still want in. Also, teams that expressed interest, please update me on how many teams it looks lik...

Hey everyone. Brandeis' Mark "The Junior Bird" Fidrych will now be held on October 2nd on our campus in Waltham, MA. This also leaves open the possibility for a TRASH junior bird on saturday night or sunday. Please see the first post for fee details about the junior bird, and contact me if intereste...

(CUT-style) Brandeis' Mark "The Junior Bird" Fidry

Hey everyone, Dan Passner from Brandeis quiz bowl in Waltham, MA. This year, we will be hosting our second annual Junior Bird on our campus on Saturday September 25th. We will be using NAQT questions from IS-44. This year, we are going to be trying to run an untimed cut-style format, most of you sho...

NE TRASH regionals at Brandeis November 6th

Hey everyone, sorry to send two messages in one day, but here I go again. On November 6th, Brandeis University in Waltham, MA will be hosting the New England regional for TRASH. All the stuff about helping you out and questions and stuff is the same as my NAQT e- mail, so I will just give you the fe...

Holy crap that would be amazing! If that got off the ground, I would gladly write a Jew lit packet for that if the tournament were done theme round style like TTGT11.

I hope Harvard is able to get Paco too. That would surely be a fearsome foursome. Its kind of crazy to think that the bottom bracket will feature numerous excellent members of national championship teams. Btw, would anyone have a problem with me recording the matches and getting some interviews like...

Nathan, no way we don't lead in negs :) Even if our 4th were Jason Keller we'd still have enough interrupts to go around between you and me. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if we upset a team or two, but that top 3 is just incredible. It'll be interesting to see who the top scorer is at the tournament...

Matt W, don't agree with the logic there. I always go with the favorite, if they are truly the best team there, and if they aren't, I go with the team I feel is best. My problem here is I have a tough time figuring out who that best team is. I went with Ill/Weiner because I feel that taking a team t...

Chicago Open Discussion

Today, Nathan forwarded me Subash's e-mail with the field for the Open as it stands, and I was immediately floored by what I saw. The only analogy that came to my mind was that this field makes NAQT nats look like a junior bird (certainly no disrespect meant to NAQT :) ). I think its worth discussin...

Dwight, is there a way schools can be contacted as soon as someone signs up for the list? This would be helpful instead of just finding out at one time.

Also, shameless plug. We need freshmen at Brandeis.

Seniors, what colleges have you applied to, or attending?

First, if this is the wrong place to put this, I apologize and hope it will find its way to the right part of this fine board. Anywho, as the head of Brandeis' program, I was wondering where the people on this board are applying or hoping to go to college next year. I am trying to get a head start o...
