Atlantic Super Cup- US High school team wanted
Hi folks, As some of you might know, I have been involved for a bit with Liberia's quiz scene, first as a Coach of the national team then as a distant well-wisher. As such, I am writing with an opportunity to play something adjacent to quiz bowl. The Atlantic Super Cup will involve 15 high school te...

Re: Reworking the History Distribution
I obviously have no stake in the broader dispute in this thread over history distributions, but I do feel a need as a history graduate student in the United States to bring up some structural factors within university history education in the United States that are relevant to points made here. Firs...

Echoing the praise above, this was a delightful set. A really good mix of underrepresented parts of the 19th century and standard canon stuff that seldom felt dry. Thanks for writing!

Re: How much "world" should there be in art?
I want to argue that the non-presence of world art in some high school curricula (although that may not be as much of a thing as quiz bowl distros assume: I never took a high school art class but when I self-studied AP Art History, at least, a good part of the curriculum covered African, Islamicate,...

When Harris said he was going to do something, you knew he was going to do it. That's an incredibly rare quality in any community as it is in the world as a whole. Another remarkable thing about him was that no matter how much we argued online or sometimes in real life, he would have thought through...
