I can only speak for Carmel, but we had an awards night at the end of the year where there was a Varsity and JV team MVP announced (came with a trophy) as well as smaller awards (medallions, iirc) for non-MVP important contributors. Everyone was recognized regardless of whether they won an award. I...

That one question aside (which I still thought was a pretty cool thing to toss up!), this tournament was extremely well written and loads of fun, even if I didn't get much in the way of points, so thanks for all of the hard work that went into writing it.

What seems more fair would be to use advantaged-final-style playoffs for these cross-tier matches. Teams in the top tier should still be afforded some advantage by virtue of doing better in the preliminary rounds.
