Hi Friends, Please find full details for the NYC Summer Open below. I will continue to update this thread, then move to email as the tournament approaches. DISCLAIMER You may notice the big "GUERILLA" in the title now. This is to emphasize that a lot of this tournament is ad hoc, more than I like; b...

Re: NYC Summer Open date poll

As an editor on this year's NASAT, I'm glad we decided on OxO. I just hope OxO is more properly Americanized unlike CamO from last year, which included rather odd questions like the death of Edward II and some obscure British geography questions. Of course, some oddball questions in a set is basica...

Please give me some time to formally write up a new post with tournament details, but just so you'll pay attention to the important stuff in that, I can say that, yes, the people have spoken, and we'll run Oxford Open as the main event. I agree with Will's point regarding not wanting to play a truncated set. Just in case it's an important point, hopefully "truncated" here refers to potentially playing 20/24 given questions from the CamO packets. Whether we play NASAT, OxO, or CamO, we will definitely not play all the packets we ar...

I'll stan for my brother (James Kuang) and point out this absurd statline of 21/7/5, and perhaps more impressively, getting this statline at a college tournament (one that was 6 months ago, no less). How close was the public vote on the main event set? I did consider this, but NASAT won even when the votes for those sets were combined (albeit, by...

I'm not monitoring the Visual Arts, but the Auditory Arts is 1/3 done, and the writing pace has really picked up now that people are finishing (or have finished) their finals. The set will be done in time for Illinois Side Event Weekend on July 20th.
