Re: How do you put Quiz Bowl on a resume?
I have mine on an 'activities' section at the end of my resume; I'm hoping that in the off chance that my interviewer played the game once it'll help me stick out.

Alex, I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit for your role in the revitalization of the team. You are and have always been an excellent player who cares deeply for both the game of quizbowl and our team specifically. You were the only person this year who has been with us since the last...

Alex Wallace's big career retrospective
My name is Alex Wallace. I am from Arlington, Virginia, across the Potomac from Washington, D.C. I am the child of a white father and a Filipina mother. I attended Washington-Lee High School and played on their team for three years, and was the captain my senior year. I then played for four years at...

I second the recommendation for a wider acceptance of answers for "revocation of the Edict of Nantes." That one threw me off, and I think it was reasonably acceptable that not the actual legislative act but rather the actual policy be an acceptable answer.

Piggybacking off of the general "don't drown newcomers in QB community nonsense," I also propose don't submerge newcomers in with your club's injokes off the bat. I was the newcomer in that position when I came to William & Mary, and part of me wanted to quit in part because of it. The...

So it's taken me far longer than I should have to do this, but Alex Wallace's Titanic Trash Packet, my third, and the one that was read at the 2017 Festivus, is finally ready for general reading. I'd be happy to read it on discord should somebody like to hear it.
